On Wednesday, July 22, Jacob’s Days offers a diverse programme for all ages. For children, the programme includes a free football training session at Unitedplanen from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the “Figurer och Filurer” event at the town library from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and a family day in Snellman Park from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

There is also free admission today to the Malm House and the Tempus Exhibition Hall from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Pedersöre District Court Museum is hosting an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Those interested in history and local culture can also visit Mother Westman’s cottage and Runeberg’s Cottage, which are open Wednesday to Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. (admission fee applies). At Nanoq, guided tours are available in Swedish, Finnish and English. In addition, Jakobstad Region Guides Association is organizing the guided walking tour “The Monuments Tell Their Stories” (in Finnish or Swedish), where participants can learn about the history behind the town’s monuments.

For job seekers and anyone interested in opportunities in the region, the “Come Here!” Recruitment Fair will be held at Campus Allegro from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Town of Jakobstad will be participating in the fair.

Animal lovers can enjoy Jacob’s harness racing from 5 p.m. at Torsviken, as well as the dogs’ Match Show from 6 p.m. at the FBK field.
