About the Hobby Activities
Most activities are organized in the schools’ own facilities, but some take place in partner locations such as Jeppis Gym, Pietarsaari Swimming Hall, and Kom In.
Our experienced adult supervisors focus on ensuring that every child enjoys the activity while learning new skills and developing personally. The activities are fully funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Participation is flexible—you can join clubs even in the middle of the year if there is space. Please remember to cancel your registration if the activity isn’t a good fit, so the spot can be offered to another child.
HOP IN – Easy Registration for Hobby Activities
The HOP IN app makes signing up for hobby activities in Pietarsaari smooth and convenient. The app offers several advantages:
- All clubs in one place: Browse all local hobby activities and register your child using a single app.
- Easy management: Handle registrations for all family members with one account.
- Up-to-date information: Receive important updates about schedules, changes, and events directly on your phone.
- Quick communication: Contact club supervisors and get answers to your questions fast.
All hobby activities are visible in the app once registrations open. For secondary school students, the family decides who uses the HOP IN service.
How to Use HOP IN
- Download the app: Search for the orange HOP IN app in your phone’s app store.
- Select your area: See all hobby activities available in Pietarsaari.
- Join a hobby: Choose a club and register.
- Create a participant account: A parent/guardian manages the child’s club registrations.
- Select the participant: Choose which family member will participate in the club.
Absences and stopping participation are handled through the HOP IN app. Participants absent twice without notice will be removed to free up the spot.
