  • language courses, education and training possibilities
  • daycare
  • regulations concerning employment and work-related immigration
  • leisure activities
  • housing
  • initial assessments and associated support follow-ups


The service is intended for all immigrants regardless of reason for coming to the country. We serve in Swedish, Finnish, and English as well as other languages as far as possible. We use interpreters when needed.

The Service Point was founded as a project in October 2016, but is now financed by the municipalities in the region (Jakobstad, Pedersöre, Nykarleby, Larsmo, and Kronoby). Until now around 17 000 client visits have been registered at the Service Point.

The Service Point has its own social media channels (Facebook and Instagram), where we share news about current education and events and inform about opening hours.
