Welcome to the Service Point for newcomers! At The Service point you can receive information, advice, and guidance on all areas of life.

We provide information about:
- Finnish society
- public authority services (the Police, DVV, Kela, tax administration, TE-services)
- social- och health care services
- language courses, education and training possibilities
- daycare
- regulations concerning employment and work-related immigration
- leisure activities
- housing
- initial assessments and associated support follow-ups

The service is intended for all immigrants regardless of reason for coming to the country. We serve in Swedish, Finnish, and English as well as other languages as far as possible. We use interpreters when needed. At the Service Point you can ask anything. If we don’t know the answer, we’ll figure it out and when needed we are referring you to the correct authority, educational institute, or an interesting hobby. We also provide initial assessment and integration plans for people who are not TE services customers.

The Service Point was founded as a project in October 2016, but is now financed by the municipalities in the region (Jakobstad, Pedersöre, Nykarleby, Larsmo, and Kronoby). Until now over 13 000 client visits have been registered at the Service Point. The Service Point has its own social media channels (Facebook and Instagram), where we share news about current education and events and inform about opening hours.
