Pre-school education became mandatory from August 1, 2015. In Pietarsaari, pre-school education for 6-year-old children is organized in schools. Pre-school education is free of charge. Those participating in pre-school education are also entitled to day care, for which a fee is charged based on income.

Preschool education is given every school day for 4 hours/day, 20 hours a week between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

Preschool starts on Monday, August 12, 2024.

Fill out the registration form by January 31, 2024.

The place of preschool is determined by the place of residence.
