Town Executive 2025–2027
The town executive is the highest executive body in Jakobstad. The town executive manages the town’s administration and prepares matters to be dealt with by the town council based on the committees’ propositions. The executive enforces the council’s decisions, oversees the town’s interests and represents the town.
The town executive has 11 members, each of which has a personal substitute. The town council appoints the town executive members and their substitutes for a period of two years.
On average, the town executive meets every other Monday. There is a longer break in summer. The meetings are not public. The agenda for the meeting is published on the town’s website, in general on Thursday the week before the meeting. The record of decisions will be published on the town’s website about a week after the meeting.
