A Thursday Full of Experiences at Jacob’s Days

Thursday at Jacob’s Days once again offers a diverse programme of culture, sports, music and experiences for all ages.

For those interested in history and local culture, there are several fascinating attractions to explore. In the afternoon, you can visit Skata’s unique courtyards during the event Open Yards and Houses from 2 pm to 6 pm, and in the evening the guided drama walk “Life in Skata in the Shadow of the Tobacco Factory” (in Finnish or Swedish) takes participants on a journey through the area’s history and stories.

For families with children, Children’s Adventure at Nanoq takes place from 11 am to 4 pm. Guided tours in Finnish and Swedish are also available in the area from 2 pm to 5 pm.

For sports enthusiasts, the highlight of the day is Jakob Marathon, which starts at 4 pm and brings a lively running atmosphere to the city streets. The programme also includes, among other things, LIV Car Bingo at 6 pm.

In the evening, music takes centre stage. Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of musical styles, ranging from folk music and jazz to rock, pop and dance music. Late-night performances ensure that the music continues well into the evening.
