Jakobstads Vatten’s household water NO longer needs to be boiled

The notice issued on 23.4.2024, to boil Jakobstads Vatten’s food and drinking water, is no longer in force.
The sample taken on Wednesday 24.4.2024 did not detect any enterococci. Currently, the chlorine content of the domestic water is at a higher level than usual and there is a stronger smell of chlorine. Chlorine kills harmful microbes. The chlorine in the water does not cause health problems, it ensures the microbiological quality of domestic water.
